There was not much change in our little guy today. Sue and Maga got to the Hospital at about 1:30 and Reece was sleeping sound. The Doctor had not made any changes to his milk intake. Reece's output had increased and was borderline acceptable. The good thing is that Dr Knee did not decrease the amount of food that Reece is getting. He seems to be resting a little better now.

The Room that he is in seems to have gotten a lot noisier the last couple of days. They have brought in 2 new babies and both of them are on Ventilators. This really not that big of a deal other than that there seem to be a lot more alarms going off. The nurse had put Reece's blanket over his head(she said do not try this at home) because she thought the alarms were waking him up this morning.

Please continue to pray that Reece is able to continue to handle the increases feedings and not start dumping.

  1. Hi Sue, Continuing to pray for Reece's development. I don't know if you heard, but Kate (Rick--Bob's brother-- & Myra Blauwkamp's daughter) delivered their twins yesterday. I hope they are not the ones keeping your Reece awake! They were born at 24 weeks/6 days. Their last name is Wiersma in case you connect. We are praying for all of you there in the NICU and can't wait to hold all of our new great-nephews! Love Aunt Allie & fam.

  2. Hi Sue,
I think all of your friends at Haven Reformed are the ones blessed. We are blessed to know you and to watch your faith guide you through this difficult time. We miss you and are praying for you every day. Hopefully we'll be able to have our small group back together soon, including Ben and baby Reece.
