Sorry, I spelled little Reece's name wrong the other day when I sent the memo through the Hospital, anyway, I have it right now.
ReplyDeleteBabies are such a blessing and praying that Reece will continue to heal, grow, and be able to give joy each day to all around him. God please heal him, and may his little body receive medication well and may the doctors know EXACTLY what to do, through wisdom that God provides. For Mom & Dad, Grandpas & Grandmas, know that God is near, that He loves us and loves LIFE. Praying for a peaceful night. BLESSINGS! Brenda Roels

ReplyDeleteHello BJ and Sue,
ReplyDeleteYou have no idea who I am but just wanted you to know that I pray for you both and Reesce as you go through this difficult time.
It took me a long time to conceive so my children have been so welcomed into my life.
I realized what a special gift God has given me
through the life of having children.
Its not esay to have a child sick ... how well I know about that. When my daughter was born she was a immediate emergency C-section. I didn't get to see my baby for she was born blue and in distress. I remember wanted to hold this baby
I just gave birth and they told me that they were running tests on her. The news finally came that my daughter had been born with Group B infection and learning that is the most fatal
infection a baby could have. I could not hold my baby till the 3rd day after giving birth to her.She stayed in the hospital for ten days.
We had a nurse come for the next three months
to check on my daughter. I remember talking to God that I just wanted my daughter for a year then He could have her for I came to realize that she is a gift from God and she belonged to God first then me . The group b strep got better and she had no problems in the years to come. Since learning about group b I am so glad
God has spared her from all the things that could have gone wrong..what a amazing God we have
My daughter is 18 and doing well and she is amazing gal for she is on the national honor society, she plays piano, flute and organ and has
several more gifts that God gave her. Now again I am giving her over to God to take care of her for she is going to college int he fall while I can't be there with her.
Then three years after her birth I had a son.
I tested positive for group b strep at the beginning of my c-section again and the doctor gave him the antibotic before he was born. So he didn't get the group b strep. I was so thankful for that.
But his life was far from esay for he had his first asthma attack at ten months. By the time he was four he had his first bout of menegitis.
He struggled with his health when he was young.
He had menengitis again when he was seven along suffering from asthma, allergies and other things. When he had his first asthma attack again I was reminded of that he is special gift from God and that I needed to trust that God would take care of him and that as a parent I have to be his advocate of getting the best medical care. After his second bout of menegitis I got the doc to approve of us going to Mayo Clinc in Rochester, MN . My son and I went and found he had a bad reflux (GERD) and was aspirating into his lungs really bad.
The Wings of Mercy was so helpful to us
with flying us to Mayo and back home again.
They performed surgery to repair his bad GERD problem and things got better yet he had to learn how to eat for so many years he couldn't eat alot of food due to the GERD issue.
I thought he was healed and a couple of years later he started have some health issues. My son and I flew to Cinncinnati Childrens Hospital to find out he has EE (Eosinophilic Esophagitis).
Again Wings of Mercy was so kind to get us there and back home again.
We learned that his EE would never go away but he has had to find out what foods caused his esphogus to flair. We are still in the process
of finding the food that causes the flair.
Now my son is fifteen and leading a normal life-
inspite of the EE that is going on.
He is on the national honor society ... in fact he is in two AP classes at the local high school that he goes too and is getting straight A's in all of his classes.
Through this learned I realize what a special gift our children are and how God is such a faithful God in taking care of us.
Also that these children that God gives us are not ours they first belong to Him first.
I have learned that time and time again.
So again I am praying for you all and especially Reece ... sounds like he is a fighter and He has God on his side !!!!!!!!!
In God's Amazing Grace,Hope,Love and Mercy !!
There are many circumstances in life
That are not pleasant, to say the least.
Many things we go through
Seem to drive us to our knees.
In all of life's storms and trials,
Which are sometimes not a few,
We must choose to trust in God.
He will always see us through.
We cannot afford to be angry
Or blame God when things go wrong.
Jesus is always with us and,
Even in sorrow, we can have a song.
The choice is ours to make.
Which one will it be?
Will we become bitter or better?
What will others see?
If we choose to trust in God,
And let Him lead us out,
He will fill our heart with faith
And take away our doubt.
The things which we go through
May, at times, leave hurts or scars.
Jesus is the 'Faithful One'
Who turns life's scars into stars.
If we shine for Jesus,
As we walk through this life,
He will see us through
As He forgives sin and strife.
One day, when life is over
And we shall enter in,
We shall behold our Lord in His eternal joy,
Which shall never end.
