4 month sign off

Reece is four months as of yesterday! Time has flown since we've been home. He's doing quite well and has been fun to watch improve all of the time. His favorite place to play is his activity gym, but sitting in the Bumbo seat is a close second. He's so strong!
Ben loves his brother and thinks it's fun to play with him in his gym area until I tell him to get off his brother...still working on being gentle. I just don't think Ben knows his own strength yet. But, he does give lots of kisses and hugs and smiles and is soaking in how to be a good big brother all of the time.
As parents, it seems strange to me that he's been home almost as long as he was in the NICU already. While we were going through our experience I remember someone told me that it's only 10 weeks of an entire life. It will seem like nothing years from now. You know, they are probably right. Our world seemed to change drastically fast during those ten weeks, but life is becoming easier as we better understand what our "normal" is now...with 2 kids!
Thanks for being our on-line friends. Thanks for praying for us and holding us up to our heavenly father throughout this process. My plan is to call this my last blog entry, print all of the entries for Reece's future reading. His life is a miracle. I feel he deserves to have his "story" in print for when he's old enough to read it.
Lots of love to you all! -Sue

  1. Susan, BJ, Ben and Reece,
What a wonderful way to end this phase of Reece's journey - praising our Heavenly Father from whom ALL blessings flow. Thanks for your great testimony. Sue and BJ, You are awesome parents - can't wait to see your family soon! Love Aunt Allie, Uncle Bob and family. P.S. We continue to pray for all of you!!

  2. Such a great end to one chapter. Now on to the the next one and bigger and better things that life has to offer. So glad your "normal" is the busy time of raising two boys and keeping up with everyday things. You have two precious gifts from God. Hold them close...though you are busy now, it will seem like it goes so fast and they are young men in the blink of an eye. I hope that as Ben and Reece grow, they can read this and know that a whole community was surrounding each of you in love and prayer. That's what friends and neighbors are supposed to do whether times are great or tough. Looking forward to seeing these little guys grow.

  3. Hey Sue, Thank you for giving me your gift of friendship! We have been through laughter and tears and it has made our friendship stronger because of it! God has blessed both of us with beautiful families and we are blessed that God has allowed us to pass our friendship on to our husbands and now our children! May God continue to bless your family with many riches! We love you all so much! You know... I am probably not the best example, but you could start a new blog that would allow you to brag up your family :) LOVE YOU TONS MY BEST FRIEND!!!
